Wrongful convictions have shown that our criminal justice system needs immediate reform in many areas – both to protect the innocent and to strengthen the work of law enforcement and prosecutors with full transparency.
Important progress like awarding of legal costs for those persons found not guilty and compensation for exonerees will not happen without the consensus and agreement of lawmakers.
Whilst we continue to work on other issues (such as the re- introduction of preliminary hearings and the reinstatement of double jeopardy laws) our current priority issues are
